New Architecture of the Trading and Economic Cooperation of EAEU

19.10.2023
10:00 - 11:15
Hall A
The new geoeconomic reality has created windows of opportunity for the EAEU countries to gain more benefits from integration processes but also a great pressure of time and economic risks on making key decisions in the overall economic policy of the integration association.

Further qualitative economic growth of all EAEU countries is due to structural transformation, ensuring the transition to technology, production, and sales sovereignty, which places new demands on industrial and commercial cooperation.

At the same time, the economic efficiency of new projects that form the supply economy will be determined to a greater extent, than before, by exports. The EAEU should become a “portal” to a new, predominantly non-resource-based foreign trade, which requires a new geography of trade policy focused on dynamic development. Developing and promising chains of industrial and commercial cooperation should be fully supported to ensure the efficiency and sustainability of the Union.

During the round table, experts will discuss the following issues:
  • Demanded and effective measures to stimulate and develop production cooperation between entrepreneurs of the EAEU countries are the basis for sales market competitiveness. What needs to be done to increase the efficiency of cooperation projects? What new mechanisms are to be completed?
  • Ensuring access and competitiveness of EAEU products in external markets. How to ensure barrier-free access to promising markets? What is being done and what are the plans for the next five years?
  • How do representatives of third countries see the EAEU and how do they express their interest in developing cooperation? How to ensure the appeal of the EAEU for new partners and engage them in the development of joint production chains?
  • How do session participants see the future of the EAEU in the medium and long term? What do the EAEU countries and the business community need to do to maximize the potential of the Union?
