Financial Market for Real Economy

20.10.2023
15:45 – 17:15
Hall A
In the context of sanctions restrictions, Russian exporters faced several structural problems, including the search for new logistics routes and partnerships, raising new financing sources as well as the need to reorient their focus to enter new foreign markets.
The new conditions for foreign economic activities, on the one hand, require massive investments and, on the other hand, change the profitability of a business and cause uncertainty in risk assessment. Under such conditions, businesses face challenges when raising investments for new export-oriented projects, including those delivered abroad.
Many companies have to invest in foreign infrastructure projects. To deliver such projects, long-term and cheap financing is required, while there is no supply of such products on the market.
During the session, experts will discuss the following issues:
  • What products can the financial market offer to businesses to support Russian enterprises in entering global markets and increasing competitiveness?
  • What capital access conditions for exporters will promote the active development of new foreign economic projects, including entering new markets and reorienting products?
  • How to engage foreign investors and what is the new portrait of an investor?
  • How to improve investments in export-oriented projects, taking into account the uncertainty of risks, volatile profitability, and competition with the increasing profitability of import substitution projects?
