Fashion for Export: What strategies are Russian brands using to become global players?
2025-10-07 11:53
The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF) will bring together leading experts, officials, and representatives of fashion brands to discuss how Russian businesses can develop effective strategies in the face of a changing geopolitical and economic landscape. Key topics will include the feasibility of expansion, the balance between uniqueness and competitiveness, government support measures, and successful case studies.
How can Russian fashion brands take advantage of the window of opportunity created by the departure of global players? Will exporting, scaling, or deep localization take the industry to the next level?
How realistic is it for Russian brands to enter the international market? Is it possible for domestic fashion brands to grow beyond small and medium-sized businesses? How can they maintain their uniqueness while competing on a global stage? What development tools are required for successful exports (logistics, marketing, and finance)?
These questions will be addressed by experts and experienced industry players, including representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Russian Export Center.
The Made in Russia International Export Forum brings together thousands of participants from more than 80 countries every year, including representatives of businesses, government agencies, and scientific and business communities. It is the main event of the year for entrepreneurs seeking to scale their businesses, expand their exports, and find reliable partners. In 2024, the forum was attended by approximately six thousand people, and 75 companies showcased their products at the Made in Russia exhibition, demonstrating the high level and diversity of Russian exports.
The Made in Russia International Export Forum will be held on October 21 at the National Center "Russia" in Moscow. Participation is free. Registration for the forum is open until October 13 on the official website: forum.exportcenter.ru.
As a reminder, from September 1 to October 22, the Russian Export Center will organize a large-scale Made in Russia exhibition at the National Center "Russia" in Moscow, showcasing the achievements of Russian exporters. Visitors can register for free on the russia.ru website.
